I laugh
I laugh in the face of adversity.
I laugh because I am in His Presence.
I laugh about the days to come.
I laugh about all He's done.
I laugh due to enlightening knowledge.
I laugh because of wisdom.
I laugh even when it hurts.
I laugh sometimes through the tears.
I laugh because God is God.
I laugh because the problems are too small.
I laugh before my King.
I laugh because of a new season.
I laugh because I know,
right now, through and at the end of it all,
I will be laughing.
and your lips with rejoicing"

Wind in my hair
Life
Sometimes we try too hard to be the best at everything that we don't enjoy the process of becoming all that we can be. Sometimes we put too much on others that it stops us from enjoying the little they offer us.
Love
One minute your world makes no sense without them, the next you wanna tear them apart with your bare hands if it were possible that the police wouldn't trace them to you. You wonder why you have family or are in love with that person that seems to pierce the very nerve that makes you go up the wall. Why do you love them again? Like seriously, why?! Then you realize, oh yea, you love them... Vicious cycle.
Ministry
I think of people who have succeeded in their ministry or calling in life and I want to be like them. I hope I can stand in the hall of the Pauls and Peters when I stand before my Father. I don't want to be one of those who bring shame to the gospel. But it is not to him who runs or wills, but of God who shows mercy, and He who started a great work in me, is able to complete and perfect it.

Madam Ekundayo, A Legacy and Yours.
Hey all.
Been a while. I've been a bit busy so pardon my absence, especially on the blogs I visit as I have really only just had time to be here.
I don't know if any of you know of a woman called Madam Ekundayo. A 94+ year old woman who owned an orphanage in Nigeria called 'Ekundayo's Children's Home' in Kogi State in Nigeria, who had taken children (orphans or abandoned) and taken care of them without government aid or support.
Mama Ekundayo, a woman not seeking the world's applause, neither having an extravagant lifestyle with jets and planes to fly to the next poorest african country to adopt a child and make a whole fortune out of pictures with Hello, however recently passed away. Obviously she lived a good life. Well advanced in her years and by 2007, had taken in her 469+ child. 2009 marked the 40th year since she started taking children in. She got a song written about her in 2006 and it was only in 2008 that the world really knew who she was. She left behind a legacy, especially for those 469 children she gave homes to, and the opportunity of having lives of their own.
This only left me thinking one thing: what will people say of me when I am gone and more importantly what will God say when I meet Him?

Dave & Jon
Jon was from a richer class than Dave but that didn't deter the growth of their friendship. Jon would share everything with Dave while Dave taught Jon all he knew to.
Eventually Jon's father became a problem to their relationship as he sought to terminate the life of Dave because he knew that one day Dave would become a very successful man, even much more successful than his own son, Jon.
Jon found out and warned Dave of a plot his father had come up with to kill him and being a man of power, his father had all the abilities to. Because of the special relationship they had, Jon not minding that his father was trying to save his own success, helped Dave out of the life threatening situation that his father had created.
Jon placed his relationship with Dave above his own success, even his own father.
Because of the value he had placed on his relationship with Dave.
*****************************************
This is a story from ancient history that's true, about one of the greatest kings that ever lived. David was born a shepherd and he always knew he was special. He spent his time worshiping God and learning about tending to the flock and protecting the flock from harm when beasts came to tear them apart.
The truth was this was part of his training to become king. He had to be passionate enough to care about the creatures God put under him. This showed up later when God sent an angel to punish Israel for their sins and David asked that it should fall on him instead and God loving David so much, held back the judgment. David had always been a special boy and he knew it. He had a place in God's heart. A special place,
I'm a strong believer of covenant relationships. There are certain people God places in our lives to help us birth our destinies. There are certain people who God gives to us to help us lift our arms when we are too weak to do it. Sometimes they are our spiritual mentors, other times they are certain friends.
The message this week, is to never take your covenant relationships for granted. If you have never been aware of it, then you need to start asking God who those special people are. They might not be many, sometimes 1 or 2 or 3, but they are often very key and vital to your destiny in life.
Sometimes, they are there for a season, other times they are there for a life time.
But every single time you recognize someone as being key to what God has called you to...

Fire and Water
Ever felt burnt?
By the many events that occur in life?
Ever had a situation where you felt like you were about to drown?
In a sea of emotions? A whirlwind of occurrences that seem to toss you to and fro?
Things happen...
Everyday...
But The One who LIVES has said,
for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" Deut 31:6
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze; Isaiah 43:2
But He has promised; you will not be burnt, neither will the waters sweep over you...
So just let the feelings of being burnt be what they just are. Feelings.
I always thought crying when you were hurt was a sign of weakness
But I was hurt one day and crying and God told me it was okay
He created tears and He stood with me while I cried
Then HE wiped my tears away and told me it was okay
That HE was in control anyway
I cried in HIS PRESENCE then I felt HIS JOY
That, no one can take away
And after you've cried, stand up
and dance because you still have the victory anyway.
Ha ha.

Romans 8 : 35 - 39
Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written:
“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things,
we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded
that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers,
nor things present nor things to come,
nor height nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us
from the love of God
which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
* We thank God for HIS LOVE, protection, grace, mercies and kindness towards us. We also thank HIM for HIS interests in our destinies and working everything out for our good according to HIS perfect will and purpose. Amazing time @ n220. GOD LOVES us*
A new season is starting. Are you preparing for it? Get closer to God. HE will direct you.

Sharing The Truth
Been a while since I updated on here...
Hey guys, how are you all doing? Hope you're all getting a lot done especially since the year is flying by so fast that you could get spun around and tossed out of time if you're not careful...well, BE careful and make sure that doesn't happen, don't get left behind.
Left behind...reminds me of the Christian Novel Series by Jerry B. Jenkins about the post-rapture events. To the Christians out there, (and I mean those who strongly believe in the Word of God, that is the Holy Bible, as being the infallible, living truth and also believe and wholly rest upon the Holy Spirit in their activities), how often do you guys try to win souls?
Soul winning is a very big part of the kingdom as you, yourself are a product of someone's outreach. And I think it's an area that a lot of Christians including myself, need a lot of growth in. We feel like we're not brave enough or someone else will do it, but honestly it is to our good that we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the world. I like how Kirk Franklin put it, 'because you may be, the only Jesus they see'. What if you're the only Christian who cares enough, that the person next to you will come in contact with for the next year to come? I remember when God was going to find me, it was because someone decided to reach out to me, in my dark, lonely, quiet but a bit miserable world...

New Dawn
Hey all.
I'm typing this post in a hurry. Shuffling between checking my mails that are mounting, sending out over-due mails and wording a conference review in my head...
At the same time, my heart's full of grateful thanks to GOD The Father my JEHOVAH SHAMMAH for being THE TRUTH to me... He never lies...
Never lies. And I am eternally grateful to HIM.
HE made promises to me...
And I can see HIM keeping them one after the other.
Today was blessed and I am grateful for the lives that were touched. All because of the cross.
(lol sounds like coded gist...maybe it is for now. But in the fullness of time, most will be known I guess).
I just wanted the record to be shown on my blog.
E59. Mimi told her story. and HIS.
And it was beautiful.
*i love YOU HS*

Peaches and Cream
*Read the fine prints*
So I ate peaches and cream today. It tasted nice.
Anyway, I titled my post peaches and cream because that was the last thing I did (or ate) after a long day out today. It was more like a reward to myself. If you eat peaches and cream you will understand why it is a treat. Thing is, I love cream. Anyone ever experienced warm apple pie, with a slosh of cool cream soaking the warm-crusted and gooey-apple-centered pie? Yummmmmm. So today, I decided to try peaches with the same ever-so-lovely cream.
*warning* cream = added weight = more time in the gym* Solomonsydelle be warned!!! LOL (just in case you're wondering re: doritos@gym)
Where was I? yea peaches and cream...so why did I reward myself? Because of the following:
I am currently working with a Christian magazine (a very fabulous one even though it is relatively new - I will be giving updates on this as time goes by) and I went to see a lady in charge of sales distribution at a big church and discussed having the magazine as part of their products. Being my first time pitching an idea to an organisation :) it was interesting but like everything God does, :) it went pretty well and the lady ended up praying for me and my future and even went as far as praying that the man I will marry will help bring the gifts on the inside of me out :) :) sweet huh? The good and beneficial sides of doing business with people of like minds ey?
Also, there was this guy who had talked rudely to me on the road one day. No. he wasn't a complete stranger, but no, he wasn't a best friend either. An almost-acquintance. Need definitions? Another post, another day. Anyway, I was rushing somewhere on said-day, and he was trying to catch up with me, but i was in a rush for a meeting. So he went on to tell me, I didn't want to be seen on the road with him and implied I was a snob...I felt very insulted and I let him know just how I felt.....then I started feeling guilty after lol. Because I should have been a bit more patient (?) so anyway I said a prayer to God that He should bring the man my way again so I can apologize (lol), and I saw him today, and I did apologize and was able to invite him to an outreach programme eventually!
Also, just to say thank you to God, a friend gave me a laptop which means I can now access the internet with much ease, as my own laptop had given up on me a while back so had to use desktops for a while. It feels good to be back in the portable world.
Well there were other things that happened today and I was going to blog about them...but honestly it is quite late, I have been doing a lot of editing and my eyes are starting to close...besides I think there is some apple pie and cream somewhere with my name on it....
*told you I was serious about 2009 didn't I?*

First, Happy New Year!!!
First week gone by..what have you achieved so far? :) Don't let the next 51 weeks creep on you!!!
Secondly, I intend to:
a) Blog a bit more this year
b) Stick to this blog template for the whole year!!! LOL....well maybe because it has two words I really love at the bottom in the colour I love too...and it's all done so artistically!
This is more like a moment in time for me. Every post is a snippet of where I am at at the point that it is written so right now;
I am full of Joy...
I am looking forward to the things promised by God this year....
I will work towards the realization of my dreams more this year.....
And I will be telling snippets of them as time goes by :)
I pray for everyone; that you will have a deeper and closer walk with God through Jesus Christ...this is the biggest goal in life.
love,
Mimi
